Tribung Pinoy Camps in Saugatuck, Michigan

Saugatuck is one of those tasteful little towns that dot the resort coast of Michigan. You really won't believe that such town exists in the middle of nowhere - but there it is - with its tasteful little shops, and tasteful little BB's and tasteful little streets ... it's just wonderful. Tribung Pinoy had a chance to go there in 1996 to attend a beautiful garden wedding. Just like any other trip that Tribung Pinoy goes to, a documentary photographic souvenir of the visit is presented.

I am not even going to begin to describe the town as I don't know much about it. All I know is that, it is one choice destination of Chicagoans during the summer and fall. It's sort of the Provincetown of the Midwest really ... and all I remember is that there was a river that runs through the town, so you go a distance to cross a bridge, or ride a ferry to go to the other side. I also remember people saying that it used to be a huge industrial town and port, bigger than Chicago, until of course, Chicago staked its claim as the transportation hub of the United States. Well, enjoy the scenery.
