Toronto Unplugged
Christmas 2001, we went to Toronto just for the heck of it. 9/11 had just happened so there wasn't much anyone
travelling and the hotels were cheap. We were able to stay at a 5 star hotel for 3 star prices plus a lot of
freebies.
In Toronto, I met with relatives for Christmas and then with UP Vet Med Alumni, particularly the Rodeo Club
Alumni before heading to Niagara and then back to the US.
We were going to do a circle tour by completing the circle, taking I-80 to Ohio and then back to Chicago. But
while we were driving through Buffalo, New York, we were caught in a blizzard, supposedly the second worst snowstorm in
Buffalo's history. We cannot see anything, it was like driving against a sheet of white paper.
Fortunately, we were able to find a dinky little hotel and stayed there eating vending machine food for three days. Even
the pizza place near it won't deliver. Nobody went to work that's why.

At that time, I had a point and shoot camera, a Fuji Finepix 2400 Zoom.
