I didn't realize that this book is available through Amazon. But it is, and I hope you, my dear readers, will read it. For many reasons. Actually, for one reason: one of my pieces is in it. But actually, its a very handsome book - Ms. Brainard has amassed an impressive list of authors, known and upcoming, who have some connection with the Philippines. According to Isagani R. Cruz, a Manila-based reviewer - " ... those of us who read fiction ... will enjoy this marvelous anthology of contemporary stories exploring the experience of being not only Filipino, not only American, not only Filipino American, but a truly global human being living in an unmistakable local community." Just have a look at the authors included:
F. Delor Angeles The stories are quite eclectic ranging from divine to heavenly. There are stories set in the Philippines, stories focusing on the Filipino American experience, a story told by a Filipino-American Indian - all are a reflection of the diversity of the Filipino diaspora.
